Concept of Maintenance
Elevator Maintenance encompasses all preventive maintenance and repair activities designed to sustain optimal performance and safety throughout the equipment's entire life cycle. Far beyond simple breakdown repairs, this is a comprehensive technical service that includes routine inspections, regular precision diagnostics, and performance tuning.
Under Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the Elevator Manufacturing and Management Act, maintenance is a mandatory obligation for building managers. However, to ensure professional safety standards and operational efficiency, it is standard industry practice to entrust these duties to certified specialized firms for systematic management.
Importance of Maintenance
As elevators are unmanned facilities used by the general public, a rigorous and professional safety management framework is indispensable. It is critical to proactively eliminate potential accident risks through precise diagnostics of core safety components, such as traction ropes, braking systems, and door mechanisms.
Timely parts replacement and performance maintenance are essential solutions that not only strictly guarantee user safety but also extend the equipment's service life, thereby maximizing the value of the customer's asset.
